Rose is internationally loved as the ultimate summer tipple. The famous colour comes from juicing red grapes and soaking them with the skins for a very short period to develop a nice pinky hue! Mandala likes to give an extra bit of time to develop into a luscious pink colour, then ferment in stainless steel as well as oak to give it a nice weight, fruity sweetness and the 'bone dry' element drinkers love.
Winemaking Notes
Whole bunches of 100% Pinot Noir were allowed to rest in the press for a short period of time to allow for gentle colour extraction of free run, minimising phenolic pickup and creating a pure and balanced juice. Yeast inoculation followed by a cool, controlled fermentation in a stainless tank ensued before being transferred to old oak for 9 months.
Tasting Notes
Mesmerising colours of pale pink with a hint of salmon. Elevated aromas of cherries and turkish delight. A bright and textural palate provides hints of savoury pot pourri like characters, hints of summer raspberries and an ever so subtle spice. Persistent fresh finish with lingering berry flavours.

Reviews
93 Points - Philip Rich - Halliday Wine Companion 2024
"This is 100% pinot fermented in stainless steel before spending nine months in older oak. A light, bright salmon pink. Summer red fruits, bright florals and a little spice announce this flavoursome, fruit-driven and moreish wine. Finishes with a refreshing twang of blood-orange pithiness. Good stuff."
