Cleanskin Mandala Yarra Valley Rose- case of 12

Rose is internationally loved as the ultimate summer tipple. The famous colour comes from juicing red grapes and soaking with the skins for a very short period to develop a nice pinky hue! Mandala likes to give an extra bit of time to develop into a luscious pink colour, then ferment in stainless steel as well as oak to give it a nice weight, fruity sweetness and the 'bone dry' element drinkers love.

Tasting Notes

On the palate delicious and delightful red currant and strawberry, followed by a burst of acidity from sour cherry, moving to a lingering finish of vanilla and cinnamon on the back palate. Aromatically ripe strawberries and vanilla morph into fairy floss and a delicate hint of orange liqueur. 13.5% alc/vol.

Winemaking I Whole clusters of 75% Merlot and 25% Pinot were pressed for gentle colour, phenolic and beneficial solid extraction prior to ferment.
20% fermented ‘wild’ in old French barriques and the remainder fermented cold and slowly in stainless. The resultant wine is both brightly aromatic, textural and savoury on the palate.

Blend of 75/25% merlot/pinor noir. Fermented in both older French barriques and stainless steel. A pale, bright salmon skin. Attractive raspberry, redcurrant and herb aromas. Lively and packed with red berry, tangerine and orange pith flavours.
Finishes, dry and gently grippy. I imagine it would be an excellent food wine.
